The first Space STAR conference (Space STAR’22) was a unique scientific and technological event to gather research activities in the fields of Space Science, Technology, Applications and Regulation. Space STAR’23 continued to develop these meetings with a more important and broader vision devoted to cooperation between Africa, Mediterranean region, and Europe.
The interest of the conference was to cover all original research activities, new scientific challenges, and multidisciplinary and innovative programs regarding the development of New Space. It was an important meeting, during which researchers and potential and renowned actors from universities, companies, public authorities, and international organizations, exchanged views on the future of the space domain and on the implementation of good practices in the space field, to achieve the UN’s sustainable development goals. This conference was also part of the deployment of the Tunisian national strategy launched since March 2018 by the CNEEA (National Committee for Outer Space).
Space STAR 23 was organized in the beautiful and historical city of Sousse founded in the 2nd century BC by the Phoenicians in the western Mediterranean.
